Biography
Emerging from Australia’s Blue Mountains near Sydney in 2007, Cloud Control quickly earned recognition as a prize-winning indie rock outfit. Their atmospheric style merges folk textures with psychedelic pop and synth pop, performed by the four-piece lineup of Heidi Lenffer, Ulrich Lenffer, Alister Wright, and Jeremy Kelshaw. The band issued its first album, Bliss Release, in 2010; the record later secured the Australian Music Prize and brought ARIA Award nominations. Dream Cave, the group’s second album, followed in 2013. In January 2015 the quartet reduced to a trio after bassist Kelshaw departed, an announcement that coincided with an extended lull in activity. Cloud Control resurfaced in May 2017 by releasing the single “Rainbow City” together with its video.
