Biography
Xander, born Alexander Theo Linnet, performs dance-pop and established a steady presence on Danish charts once his debut single, "Det Burde Ikk Være Sådan Her," reached number one in 2010. He is the son of Danish singer/songwriter Anne Linnet and model Mads Buhl Nielsen.
In his early twenties the artist signed to the Danish label ArtPeople and issued the yearning "Det Burde Ikk Være Sådan Her" ("It Should Not Be Like This") in late 2010. The track entered Denmark’s singles chart at number 25 before holding the top position for two weeks and later appeared on his first album, Over Skyer, Under Vand, which surfaced in early 2011 and peaked at number nine on the album chart.
September 2012 brought Xander a coaching position on the second season of the television competition Voice – Danmarks Største Stemme, where he joined returning coaches Lene Nystrøm of Aqua, Sharin Foo of the Raveonettes, and rapper L.O.C. Before the year ended he released his second studio LP, Hvis Jeg Skrev Dig en Sang, which also reached the Top Ten at number seven. A move to Universal-affiliated Labelmade Records postponed his next project until the 2016 EP Indre By ("Inner City"), which returned him to the Top Ten and earned a nomination for Danish Songwriter of the Year at the 2017 Danish Music Awards.
