Zambri

Zambri operates as an experimental electro-pop project led by sisters Cristi Jo Zambri and Jessica Zambri, who first began creating music together in childhood. Attention arrived for the group in 2009 when an early lineup issued the Bang for Changes EP. Remixes of its track “Easier” were supplied by Does It Offend You, Yeah? and Baltimoroder. Across most of 2010 the sisters overhauled both the band’s sonic approach and its roster, bringing in drummer Seth Kasper and multi-instrumentalist Will Spitz for live performances; they also supplied backing vocals at Hooray for Earth’s CMJ appearance that year, a link reinforced by Jessica Zambri’s marriage to frontman Noel Heroux. Toward the close of 2011 the Glossolalia EP surfaced, signaling a sharper avant-garde turn that extended into the band’s first full-length release, House of Baasa, which incorporated work from Heroux and Bear in Heaven’s Jon Philpot.
