Known for reviving a stripped-down approach to Chicago gangsta rap, MC 600Breezy burst onto the music landscape delivering his tracks in a rough vocal tone while extolling gang life. Hailing from Chicago and affiliated with the 600 set within the Black Disciples Nation, this local artist made his initial impact in 2014 by posting the independent song "Don't Get Smoked". The following year saw him teaming up with fellow affiliate Young Famous on the track "600 on Top", and he also released his own single "Do Sum" during that period. By 2016, "Do Sum" had accumulated more than three million views and appeared on his project titled George Gervin, which featured a contribution from the experienced rapper OJ da Juiceman.
