Biography
Hailing from Denmark, the alt-rock group A Friend in London crafts melodic and uplifting rock reminiscent of U2 and Coldplay. The ensemble originated in Volstrup, Denmark, during 2005 when its members attended boarding school there. Public notice arrived for A Friend in London once lead vocalist Tim Schou claimed victory in the Danish Young Talent television competition. Consequently, the band embarked on multiple tours, among them performances across Canada that helped cultivate a dedicated fanbase. During 2011, A Friend in London achieved a fifth-place finish at the Eurovision Song Contest performing the track "New Tomorrow." Also in that year, preparations began for their first full-length album, produced by Danish musician Frederik Nordsø.
