Biography
In Rotterdam, Netherlands, AC Berkheimer assembled during 2005, bringing together vocalists and guitarists Gwendolien and Valentijn with bassist Dagmar and drummer Remco. The group began with a shoegaze foundation but gradually developed a sharper, more aggressive and melancholic approach over the following years, one that echoed the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mr. Gnome, and Land of Talk. A self-released demo from 2006 earned the band a spot on Subroutine’s roster, which in turn allowed the release of their debut album, In a Series of Long Days, in summer 2008.
