Biography
Hailing from Kazakhstan, singer Adam—born Farukh Tokhtamuratov—fuses fervent international pop with Eastern European melodies and atmospheric dance influences. He first gained traction in the late 2010s, then expanded his audience past the CIS in the early 2020s with cuts such as 2020’s “Мама я устал” (“Mom, I’m Tired”). The 2023 single “Zhurek” catapulted him to broader pop prominence by racking up hundreds of millions of streams on multiple platforms, while a remix of the Kazakh-language track even landed on the Billboard charts at number 20 on the TikTok Top 50. In 2024 he continued with offerings like “Zharaly” and the part-English “Wonderful Life.”
