Addison Grace merges pop melodies with echoes of 1990s indie rock on his first full-length release, Diving Lessons, from 2023, moving fluidly between direct emotional appeal and more introspective passages. Before stepping into music professionally, he had already cultivated an audience as a digital content creator.

Born March 21, 2001, in California, Addison Grace grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, raised by his single mother. Creative expression drew him in during childhood, encompassing stage performance, dance, visual work, and music. In his teens he took up the ukulele and began uploading clips of song covers online. One video captured him wearing a Cavetown sweatshirt, which prompted the established indie artist to produce Grace’s debut single, “Sugar Rush,” in 2020.

After signing to Level Music, a Warner Music Group imprint, he issued several singles during 2021. Early the following year he released “I Wanna Be a Boy,” a track that helped mark his public life as a trans man. Both that song and “Makes Me Sick” appeared on his first EP, Immaturing. A second EP, Things That Are Bad for Me, arrived at the close of 2022. Grace issued his debut album, Diving Lessons, in 2023.
