Biography

Since forming in 1992, Agro developed a melodic yet forceful approach to metal that earned them a loyal audience across South Africa. Their debut album, From Within, appeared in 1995 and carried dramatic artwork that mirrored the nation’s political strains, resulting in notable radio play and broad attention. Tragedy struck in 1996 when 22-year-old rhythm guitarist David Kietzmann died in a car accident. Their follow-up, Eyes, arrived in 1997.
