Biography
Formed in Portland, Oregon, the five-piece hardcore outfit American Me drew its membership from alumni of It Prevails and Hatchet Diaries. Scotty Walker on drums, Brian Blade handling guitar and vocals, Tony Mosh supplying vocals, Philly Ralston on guitar, and Doug Funny managing bass and vocals united under a sound shaped by hardcore punk, hip-hop, and death metal, then secured a contract with Rise Records. The label issued the band’s first album, Heat, in February 2008.
