Anointed

In the early 1990s producers Mark Heimermann and Chris Harris assembled the gospel/R&B ensemble Anointed. The group issued Spiritual Love Affair and It's in God's Hands Now ahead of its breakthrough release, The Call, which surfaced in 1995. That project became Anointed's strongest seller to date, securing a Grammy nomination and three Dove awards, one of them for Best Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year, while the act's fifth album, Under the Influence, arrived in late 1996.
