Commissioned

Commissioned, an urban Black gospel band distinguished by its crossover appeal, maintains an intensely evangelistic presence onstage, delivering performances of such theatrical force that repenters routinely crowd the altars once the set ends. Fellow members Fred Hammond, Keith Staten, Michael Brooks, and Marvin Sapp have each launched numerous successful solo projects. After devoting most of the 1990s to those separate endeavors, the group reunited in 2001 for a reunion tour that launched another run of well-received albums.
