Antònia Font

Antònia Font came together in 1997 inside Spain's Catalan region. Guitarist and composer Joan Miquel Oliver directed the group by restricting lyrics both thematically, to subjects such as the future and robots, and linguistically, through the particular Catalan dialect native to Majorca, the island that holds the band's genuine origins. The self-titled Antònia Font appeared as their debut album in 1999. Despite several personnel adjustments the ensemble kept working without interruption, reaching five additional full-length releases by 2010. An orchestra was featured on the 2007 LP Coser i Cantar.
