Biography
Après la Classe, a ska-punk group, came together in 1996 within Italy’s Puglia region, anchoring their music from the outset in the Salento traditions of their origins. The lineup featured Cesko Arcuti handling vocals and guitar, Valerio "Combass" Bruno on bass, Puccia playing accordion, DJ Cordella, along with François Rekkia on drums. Their first release arrived in 2002 as a self-titled album containing the successful tracks "Paris" and a ska-core take on Adriano Pappalardo’s "Ricominciamo," plus renditions of classic Salento tunes. Un Numero emerged as their follow-up in 2004. Marking a decade since formation, the band issued Luna Park in 2006, where reggae, pop, ska, punk, and Mediterranean elements merged into a cohesive whole. This period led to an extensive tour captured on the 2008 Live CD, which featured the single "Il Miracolo."
