Biography
Following their exit from industrial metal stalwarts Fear Factory—occasioned by the return of founding guitarist and former frontman Dino Cazares—Christian Olde Wolbers and Raymond Herrera promptly united to launch Arkaea. Recruiting vocalist Jon Howard and bassist Pat Kavanagh from Threat Signal, the latter of whom Olde Wolbers had recently produced, the seasoned pair signed at once with Koch/E1 Records and delivered their debut album, Years in the Darkness, in summer 2009, delivering a distinctly contemporary, leaner, and more forceful evolution of Fear Factory’s trademark electro-metal.
