Asesino

Led by Brujeria guitarist Dino Cazares, the side project Asesino—Spanish for assassin—delivered a more compact sound and somewhat brisker tempos than his main band. The lineup assembled a roster of prominent early 21st-century metal musicians drawn from Static X, Sepultura, Hatebreed, Icepick, and Fear Factory. Odio Records issued the group’s two albums, Corridos de Muerte and Cristo Satánico. Like Cazares’ other band Brujeria, Asesino recorded all its lyrics in Spanish. In 2008 the members were Cazares on guitar, Tony Campos of Static X on bass and vocals, and Emilio Márquez on drums.
