Biography
Pissing Razors, a heavy metal outfit from El Paso, TX, draw sonic parallels to hometown stalwarts Pantera along with Skinlab and Machine Head. Their approach fuses shouted, angst-filled vocals with dense, weighty guitar riffs, producing tracks built expressly for the mosh pit. Core members singer Joe Rodriquez, bassist Rick Valles, and drummer Eddy Garcia performed together across the band’s releases to date—the self-titled 1998 album, 1999’s Cast Down the Plague, 2000’s Fields of Disbelief, and 2001’s Where We Come From—while guitarist Matt Lynch contributed to the first two and Cesar Soto handled the latter pair. Rodriquez departed the group in February of 2001.
