Biography
Hailing from North Yorkshire, the garage/punk outfit Avalanche Party pours raw intensity into its sound while exploring an array of styles that encompass post-punk and industrial. Brothers Joe and Jordan Bell launched the group in 2016, taking the roles of vocalist and bassist, and completed the lineup by recruiting musicians active around the Yorkshire Moors—Jared Thorpe on vocals and guitar, Kane Waterfield on drums, and Glen Adkins on keys. An eponymous debut EP was captured soon after the band assembled, yet broader notice arrived only with the late-2016 single “Solid Gold.” Over the following two years the group concentrated on extensive live performances, issuing just a handful of further singles such as “I’m So Wet” in 2017 and “Million Dollar Man” in 2018.
