Biography
Swedish power metal outfit Axenstar took shape after the breakup of melodic death metal unit Miscreant, whose guitarist Peter Johansson, bassist Magnus Ek, and drummer Pontus Jansson supplied the foundation. Vocalist/guitarist Thomas Eriksson and keyboardist Magnus Eriksson came aboard to complete the lineup for the band's 2002 debut album Perpetual Twilight. Their sophomore release Far from Heaven followed the next year, after which Axenstar entered an extended stretch of inactivity.
