Biography
British/Jamaican producer and songwriter Aynzli Jones entered the world in Hammersmith, London, before growing up amid Kingston, Jamaica’s vibrant scene. There he dove headfirst into the island’s soundclash culture, sharpening his skills by writing and freestyling on Kingston’s streets. Before turning seventeen he had already stepped into the studio with Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, and Barrington Levy. He later headed back to London, where he trained in Sound Engineering. In 2007 he uploaded early demos of “Frenz” and “Had Enuff” online, which led to a deal with Mercury Records. Subsequent projects brought mixed results, among them placements in television and film, while his Tropikillaz remix of “Hide” reached a national audience via a Super Bowl commercial. Throughout this period he also joined forces with Moby, Kool Keith, Congo Natty, and Childish Gambino.
