Biography
Before uniting their vocal talents as the duo Blue County, Aaron Benward and Scott Reeves each arrived with notable professional backgrounds. Benward, raised in Auburn, IN, as the son of gospel singer Jeoffrey Benward, spent a short time in college before joining his father on the road; together they issued three successful CCM albums under the name Aaron & Jeoffrey. Reeves was born in Delight, AR, yet grew up in Los Angeles, where he began singing as a child alongside his uncle and received further encouragement from family friend Glen Campbell. After high school he turned briefly to acting, appearing in commercials and television programs that included a role on the long-running soap The Young and the Restless. The two first encountered each other on a video shoot in Nashville in the late ’90s, developed a close friendship, and soon began performing together, their instinctive gift for harmony surfacing at once. Signed to Curb Records as Blue County, they launched their career with the single “Good Little Girls,” an instant country hit, then delivered the album Blue County on the same label in 2004.
