Biography
Originating in Mons, Belgium, Blutch cultivates an adventurous strain of sludge and doom metal that draws from pioneers such as Melvins, Neurosis, and Boris without leaning too heavily on their example. The trio coalesced near the outset of the 2000s and went on to issue the demos Enjoy Your Flight in 2001 and Fra Diavolo in 2003, followed by the 2006 full-length Materia. Across these recordings Djinn has served as the constant voice and guitarist, while T'joens on bass and Pask on drums stepped in for the earlier rhythm section of Hughes and Johan when the band tracked its debut album.
