Biography
Jermaine "Mayne Zayne" Jackson fronts the Florida-rooted electronic project Blvk Jvck as his lone endeavor. Years spent shaping tracks for major hip-hop and R&B names through the production duo the Runners preceded his shift into dance music, signaled first by the tracks "Mind Games" and "Mine Luv."
Childhood companions Jackson and Andrew "Dru Brett" Harr launched the Orlando-based outfit the Runners in 2000 to lead Trac-N-Field Entertainment. Across ten years the producers, shaped by Timbaland and the Neptunes, supplied hits to DJ Khaled, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, John Legend, Ludacris, Rick Ross, T.I., Lil Wayne, and Usher. In 2017 they stepped away from R&B and rap to explore dance sounds under the Blvk Jvck name. After handling a remix of Bruno Mars' "That's What I Like," they delivered their first single, "Mind Games," featuring London-based vocalist Dyo of NEIKED, then followed with "Mine Luv," their next release on Big Beat Records that spotlighted H.E.R.
Jackson had become Blvk Jvck's only creative force by 2019, issuing "Hittin Eerbody" alongside Titus and "Cash Cow" alongside NGHTMRE. He later brought in Gunna for "Drip King" and Tay Money for 2020's "Lucky."
