Biography
Booty Luv formed as a British dance and R&B act built around the paired lead vocals of Cherise Roberts and Nadia Shepherd, both previously part of Big Brovaz. The group’s first release, “Boogie 2nite,” entered the Top 20 on the U.K. pop chart after they had been signed to the dance imprint Hed Kandi. A follow-up single arrived soon afterward in the shape of a cover of Luther Vandross’s “Shine,” which secured further chart placement and earned airplay on BBC Radio 1. Their debut album, Boogie 2Nite, surfaced in 2007 and remained inside the Top 40 for roughly a month, while the outfit’s fourth single, “Some Kinda Rush,” reached stores that December.
