Bruce Kurnow

Bruce Kurnow, a multi-instrumentalist, has issued more than a dozen albums centered on new age nature themes. His professional start came in a country-rock ensemble, where he handled harp duties and cut tracks alongside Mason Proffit between 1971 and 1973. Additional sideman work accumulated through the 1970s, followed by the 1981 release of Mystery on the Musical Experience label. Two years afterward he launched a personal production company, which oversaw numerous albums throughout the 1980s that garnered several Minnesota Music Awards. Following completion of the four-volume Elements of Nature series in 1993, Kurnow and his wife Linda established Switchback Productions, the entity responsible for issuing his ongoing Portraits of Nature series.
