Louisiana native Bryan Martin fuses traditional country, Southern rock, outlaw country, and country gospel into candid songwriting shaped by his working-class background. Mainstream attention arrived in 2022 once the single “Beauty in the Struggle” turned into a viral phenomenon. He refined his personal and relatable approach with the 2023 album Poets & Old Souls plus standalone tracks such as 2024’s “Years in the Making.”

Born in Logansport, Martin grew up in a home filled with music—his mother performed alongside Faron Young, Alison Krauss, and David Houston—and began appearing at area festivals when he was eight. Though self-taught, he later took jobs in the oil fields as a roughneck while quietly writing and performing, eventually building an extensive body of work that documented the struggles of manual labor. His first album, the 2019 release If It Was Easy, examined his battle with opiate addiction, and the 2022 follow-up Self Inflicted Scars confronted the suicide attempt that came afterward. That record produced “Beauty in the Struggle,” which reached millions after spreading rapidly online. Martin traced his personal development on the reflective 2023 set Poets & Old Souls, featuring the streaming successes “Wolves Cry” and “We Ride.” Additional non-album singles arrived in 2024 with “Wishbone,” “Bury My Bones,” and “Years in the Making.”
