Biography
Emerging from Richmond, Virginia, the weed-loving death metal crew Cannabis Corpse took shape in 2006 when siblings Philip "Landphil" Hall and Josh "HallHammer" Hall brought the project to life. United by their enthusiasm for marijuana and the grindcore/death metal sound of Buffalo, New York outfit Cannibal Corpse, the group draws personnel from Municipal Waste and Antietam 1862.
Soon after assembling, Cannabis Corpse completed their first EP, Blunted at Birth. An agreement with local indie Forcefield Records came next, resulting in the 2008 full-length Tube of the Resinated. Shifting to the West Coast independent Tankcrimes, the band delivered The Weeding EP in 2009 and the album Beneath Grow Lights Thou Shalt Rise in 2011. A 2013 contract with Season of Mist yielded From Wisdom to Baked. Their fourth studio release, Left Hand Pass, surfaced in 2017, while Nug So Vile followed in 2019.
