Biography
Chantel Jeffries, an American producer, DJ, model, and entrepreneur whose productions fuse Europop, hip-hop, R&B, and house, first drew widespread notice through her presence on social platforms. Already established as a sought-after DJ and Instagram personality boasting more than four million followers, she expanded into pop territory via her debut single “Wait,” issued in 2018 and featuring Migos’ Offset alongside Louisville rapper Vory. Born in Los Angeles yet shaped by earlier years in North Carolina and Florida, Jeffries had already earned recognition as a DJ and model connected to Justin Bieber and the Weeknd before she turned to recording her own material. She signed with Universal early in 2018, then issued “Wait” that May; the song climbed to number ten on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. July brought a follow-up single, “Both Sides,” again showcasing Vory, while a later 2018 release, “Better,” reunited her with Vory and added BlocBoy JB. Entering 2019, she delivered the high-profile track “Facts” alongside YG, Rich the Kid, and BIA.
