Fusing independent electronic music, house rhythms, and avant-garde components, the 2012 viral success Marijuana brought initial attention, which he reinforced via multiple well-received extended plays and a debut full-length issued on Counter Records under the Ninja Tune umbrella and titled after the project itself.
