Curbi

Originating from Halstead in Essex, British producer and DJ Curbi—real name Toby Curwen-Bingley—first picked up drums at age seven. Hardstyle caught his ear during his teens, with Darren Styles proving especially influential and spurring him toward production. One year later he signed with Spinnin' Records and issued his debut single “Discharge,” which thrust him onto the worldwide EDM circuit in 2014. His jacking, big-room-house style quickly settled at the label and powered global dance-floor impact through later cuts such as 2020’s “Lied To” and 2021’s “Vertigo.”

Balancing schoolwork with studio time, Curbi kept supplying Spinnin' with fresh singles whose streaming numbers climbed steadily and whose presence spread across DJ sets everywhere. Live work followed, taking him to Tomorrowland, ADE and numerous other major dance festivals. When COVID-19 halted performances, he turned fully to production, issuing multiple 2020 releases that included joint tracks with AC Slater, RayRay, Mike Williams and Jess Ball. Sharpening his palette, he folded anthemic-house and trance elements into his driving big-room framework and maintained the flow of output throughout 2021, among them the EP The Pattern.
