A trailblazer among Latin American artists in contemporary Christian music, Danilo Montero has built a career as a widely followed praise & worship performer and recording artist, amassing numerous albums across several decades. He entered the world on November 1, 1962, in San Jose, Costa Rica, and launched Sígueme in 1983 while simultaneously taking up worship leadership. Functioning as both a ministry and a musical production company, Sígueme coordinates worship retreats on an international scale. Montero wrote the book El Abrazo del Padre: Cómo Encontrar la Comunión Genuina con Dios and holds the position of associate pastor at Iglesia Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. Beginning in the '90s he maintained a consistent output of respected praise & worship albums, among them Celebra al Señor in 1995, Cantar de Tu Amor in 2001, and Tu Amor in 2007. Many of these projects were captured live, preserving the intensity and atmosphere of his worship gatherings. Tu Amor earned the Billboard Latin Music Award for Best Latin Christian/Gospel Album in 2008. He followed with the live recording Devocion the next year at Houston's Lakewood Church. The live album La Carta Perfecta appeared in 2013. Montero issued the studio album Mi Viaje upon his return in 2018.
