Daniel Calveti, born November 29, 1977, in Caracas, Venezuela, ranks among the leading Latin voices in contemporary Christian music as a Puerto Rican artist. His family relocated to Houston, Texas, when he turned twelve, followed by another move to Puerto Rico at seventeen, where he enrolled at a Christian university. Beyond his extensive work in ministry, Calveti built a career as a performer and recording musician. He launched his discography with the 2004 release Solo Tu Gracia. Critical acclaim greeted his sophomore effort Vivo Para Ti from 2005, which earned him nods for Latin Grammy in the Latin Christian Album of the Year category and Premios ARPA for Composer of the Year in 2006. The 2007 album Un Día Más received similar recognition, including Latin Grammy and Premios ARPA nominations plus a Dove Award. His fourth project, En Paz, arrived in 2008 under Universal Latino, marking his debut with a major label following prior ties to the independent CanZion imprint, and it achieved his strongest commercial performance yet. The title track from En Paz became his initial single to appear on the Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart.
