Biography
DarkDARK, an electronic duo, craft atmospheric synthy pop that fuses evocative retro influences from the 1970s and 1980s with chillwave and additional contemporary production approaches. Listeners first connected with the project through its 2017 debut EP, Heathered.
The pair formed in 2016 around Los Angeles-based producer/songwriter Genevieve Vincent and Austin-based producer/songwriter Chris James, who were linked by mutual friends through an initial email exchange before starting to build tracks collaboratively. Their 2017 debut EP, Heathered, contained the track "Restless" featuring vocalist Haley Bonar. A second EP, We Forget When We're Apart, followed in July 2020 and included final mixing by Andrew Maury (Lizzo, Kimbra, Post Malone), with the spotlight track "In Two" featured on the release.
