Zayde Wolf functions as the alter ego of singer/songwriter Dustin Burnett, delivering emotive alt-rock and pop marked by dense sonic layers. The project first appeared in 2016 through the album Golden Age.

Before introducing Zayde Wolf, Burnett—raised in Louisville, Kentucky—had served as lead vocalist for the alt-rock band the October on the road. Once that group disbanded, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he launched the drum sample firm That Sound and cultivated a strong studio profile through work with Colt Ford, Steve Noonan, Dave Barnes, Dove Cameron, and additional artists. In 2015, while preparing recordings as a proof of concept, he struggled to locate a singer and ultimately recorded the vocals himself. He titled the effort Zayde Wolf, drawing on a baby name he and his wife had set aside, then submitted the tracks to Lyric House, the Los Angeles-based licensing company. President Jessica Cole licensed one song and requested additional material, which directly prompted the release of Zayde Wolf’s debut album, 2016’s Golden Age; the record spread rapidly online and attracted hundreds of followers across streaming platforms. Burnett followed with his second album, Modern Alchemy, in 2018, spotlighting the tracks “Gladiator” and “Rule the World.”
