Biography
The Virginia outfit Days Difference earns comparisons to Coldplay through its soaring falsetto vocals and expansive, piano-driven pop-rock approach. Brothers Jeremy, who handles vocals and keyboard, and Jonathan Smith, who plays drums, form the core alongside fellow siblings Jeremiah on guitar and Micah Ricks on bass. Rehearsals began in May 2004 after the Smith brothers first encountered the other two musicians during a performance that lacked its regular drummer and keyboardist. The group’s debut show occurred in September 2004. By 2006 all four had left college and abandoned their day jobs to devote themselves fully to the band. Their first album, Numbers, appeared in June 2007.
