Biography
Hailing from Germany's Baden-Württemberg region, the five-girl outfit Debbie Rockt! brings a gritty, punky energy laced with fun. The group first assembled in 2002 as Deep Mind, a name soon swapped for Skylla, under which they issued two albums before facing personnel shifts. Lineup stability arrived in 2006, prompting a rechristening as Debbie Rockt! along with a national television appearance on the popular German show VIVA Live. Sony/BMG issued the initial single "Ich Rocke" in early 2007, yet a cover of Falco's "Nie Mehr Schule" as the follow-up single drew wider notice, setting the stage for the summer arrival of their debut album, Egal Was Ist....
