Biography
Annett Louisan performs under the stage name of German pop musician Annett Page, whose style merges cabaret elements with the playful tone found in female-led acts such as Sixpence None the Richer and the Cardigans. The 2004 debut Bohème entered the German charts at number three and spawned the wistful jangle pop single "Das Spiel." Unausgesprochen appeared the next year and included the additional singles "Das Gefuhl" and "Das Grosse Erwachen (...Und Jetzt...)," earning Louisan an ECHO as Best Female Artist of the Year plus a Goldene Stimmgabel as Best Female Solo Artist. Her third album, Das Optimale Leben, arrived two years afterward and featured "Das Alles Wär Nie Passiert"; it reached number two on the German charts, a position matched by both Teilzeithippie in 2008 and In Meiner Mitte in 2011 and thereby placing all five of her initial releases inside the German top three.
