Biography
The Austin, Texas duo Jennifer Moore and Adam Jones performed as Yellow Fever from 2008 through 2012. Early that year they adopted the name Deep Time after a legal conflict arose with another party already holding rights to the original name. The switch gave the pair a sense of renewal, since Yellow Fever had cycled through multiple members and gained little momentum despite regular touring and ongoing minor releases. Deep Time refined the minimal pop approach of their previous work by adding more intricate rhythms and insistent hooks. Their self-titled debut album appeared in summer 2012 on Hardly Art, the Sub Pop subsidiary.
