Biography
Swedish death/thrash outfit Demonoid came together as a one-off supergroup assembled by Therion's Christofer Johnsson on vocals along with that band's guitar-playing Kristian Niemann and bassist Johan Niemann, who joined forces with ex-Soilwork skin-pounder Rickard Evensand. The quartet deliberately channeled their shared affinity for classic thrash and death-metal sounds when shaping a ferocious yet tuneful and composition-focused first record, Riders of the Apocalypse, which Nuclear Blast issued in 2004.
