Biography
Emerging from Ludwigsburg as one of the scant German presences in doom metal, Doomshine originated in 2003 and issued the full-length Thy Kingdoom Come the following year after their demo "Shining in Solitude," prompting immediate parallels to steadfast practitioners such as Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus. Guitarist Sven Podgurski launched the outfit after two unsuccessful power-metal ventures with Spiral Tower and Tragedy Divine, rounding out the roster with Tim Holz on vocals and guitar, bassist Carsten Fisch, and drummer Markus Schlaps.
