Elegant

Since the summer of 1997, Elegant have upheld their equilibrium of electric pop and lighthearted harmonies in their hometown of Hamburg, Germany. The group, built around vocalist Martin Nelte and Hanns-Christian Mahler, who supplies the remaining musical components, issued their first recording—a split EP alongside Mondfähre on Apricot Records—almost immediately after assembling. Marsh-Marigold Records of Germany soon registered their arrival and issued the next release, the mini-album Variationen in Lässigem Chic, in 1998.
