Satin Jackets operates as a lush indie dance project led by masked German producer Tim Bernhardt alongside multiple guest vocalists. Its sonic palette centers on relaxed disco grooves frequently incorporating live elements, most notably funky guitar licks, while the lyrics range from celebratory and lovestruck to quietly yearning, qualities evident across Ibiza-friendly releases such as the 2016 album Panorama Pacifico.

Bernhardt, previously a member of deep house group Lorenzo, launched the project after discovering neo-disco imprints including Permanent Vacation and Eskimo Recordings, prompting him to craft tuneful house tracks shaped by disco and new wave influences. Early in the 2010s, a series of digital and vinyl-only singles plus compilation appearances surfaced on Dikso Records, House of Disco, and Mullet Records, accompanied by remixes for Tesla Boy, Leendder, Black Magic Disco, and additional artists. The act later joined Eskimo, supplying material to the label’s color-themed compilations and issuing the 2013 single “You Make Me Feel Good.” The Foreign Affair EP appeared on the same imprint in 2014, after which the group commenced international touring. Eskimo followed with the 2015 release “Shine on You” and then “We Can Talk.” Satin Jackets’ first full-length, Panorama Pacifico, surfaced in 2016 and received acclaim in multiple dance outlets. After the Poolside Ibiza 2017 mix, the second album Solar Nights arrived in 2019.
