Biography
Fight the Fight is a Norwegian ensemble whose expansive sonic identity merges death, djent, and groove metal with progressive metalcore. Childhood friends formed the outfit in Oslo, where it first performed as Faenskap before adopting the Fight the Fight name in 2016 and releasing its self-titled debut album the next year through Indie Recordings. The record fused snarling punk, black metal, and groove-laden heavy rock, radiating youthful energy that the members carried into their concerts, playing numerous festivals and appearing with acts such as Avenged Sevenfold, Kvelertak, Hatebreed, and August Burns Red. Deliverance, issued in 2020, refined those varied influences into a massive metalcore groove, pairing bouncy riffs and neck-snapping beats with anthemic choruses aimed at stadium scale. The same melodic progressive metal direction broadened on the ambitious 2024 release Shah of Time, which served as the band’s first concept album.
