Biography
Originating from Switzerland despite a melodic edge clearly shaped in Sweden, Dreamshade operates as a melodic death metal outfit based in that country. The musicians first assembled in Lugano during 2006, intent on fusing numerous melodic hooks with the intricate technical skills long associated with the style. Their initial outing came in the form of the To the Edge of Reality EP, which appeared in 2009. After securing a contract with Spinefarm in 2010, Dreamshade delivered their debut full-length album, What Silence Hides, via the same imprint that year. A second full-length effort, Gift of Life, followed in 2013.
