Biography
Kingdom of Giants emerged in 2010 as an American melodic metalcore sextet from Northern California, forged from the remnants of a prior group and built around the lineup of Julian Perez on keyboards, Max Bremer and Red Martin on guitars, Levi Norris on bass, Dana Willax on vocals, and Truman Berlin on drums. The outfit first surfaced with its January 2011 debut EP Abominable before unleashing the full-length Every Wave of Sound, a hard-hitting release that earned unanimous praise across the underground metal press, drew management interest, and opened doors to European stages. Mainstream traction followed the early 2014 signing with InVogue Records, whose release of the punishing Ground Culture—produced by Andreas Magnusson of Haste the Day, the Black Dahlia Murder, and Fit for a King—appeared that fall and triggered extensive headlining runs across the United States and Canada alongside festival appearances in Europe.
After a year-and-a-half of nonstop road work the band returned to the studio, with Willax revealing plans for a new album during an August 2016 YouTube interview. InVogue rolled out the video for “Damaged Goods” in February 2017, then “Runaway” in March and both “Tunnel Vision” and “Cash Out” in April. The resulting 11-track album All the Hell You’ve Got to Spare arrived in early May, engineered, produced, and mixed by Nick Loiacono and featuring guest spots from T Cavey of Erra, Daniel Gailey of Phinehas, and Caitlyn Mae of Fighting the Villain. A subsequent deal with Sharptone preceded the 2020 full-length Passenger, while 2023 brought the dynamic lead single “Wasted Space” from the forthcoming six-song EP Bleeding Star, produced by Daniel Braunstein of Spiritbox and Volumes and issued the next year.
