Alpha Wolf

Deriving their name from Liam Neeson's survival film The Grey, the Australian metalcore outfit Alpha Wolf fuses sharp-edged metalcore with weighty nu-metal grooves. Formed in Burnie, Tasmania, the group shifted base to Melbourne prior to unveiling their first album, Mono, in 2017. Exploring trauma and depression, that release connected with hardcore listeners around the world, which led SharpTone Records to issue the band's EP Fault in 2018. Their second album, A Quiet Place to Die, surfaced in 2020 and reached number six on the ARIA Albums Chart, earning approval from critics and fans. The EPs The Lost & The Longing and Shh followed in 2022 and 2023. The subsequent full-length Half Living Things arrived the next year and contained the single "Sucks 2 Suck" featuring rap legend Ice-T.
