George Lamond

Born George Garcia on February 25, 1967, in Washington, D.C., dance-pop singer George Lamond first gained attention by supplying backup vocals for his cousin Joey Kid; the pair subsequently performed together as Loose Touch. Selected by producers Chris Barbosa and Mark Ligget to cut "Bad of the Heart" for their Ligosa label as a solo artist, Lamond secured a Columbia contract after the single thrived on club playlists. The self-titled LP Bad of the Heart delivered two more freestyle successes, "Without You" and "Look Into My Eyes," yet the 1992 follow-up In My Life proved far less effective. It's Always You arrived in 1995, and Lamond returned four years later with Entrega.
