Biography
Italian singer/songwriter Gianni Bella, known also as Beatiful Gianni, first entered pop music in 1969 by writing material for his sister Marcella. Local success arrived in the mid-'70s when "Piu Ci Penso" and "Non Si Puo' Morire Dentro" registered as hits in Italy. Peak commercial impact, however, occurred toward the close of the decade, when both "No" and "Toc Toc" reached the top of the charts and achieved substantial sales. Throughout the 1980s he forged an enduring partnership with Giulio Rapetti, better known as Mogol, that yielded the albums Gb1 in 1983, Una Luce in 1986, and Due Cuori Rossi Di Vergogna in 1988, each one produced by Jeoff Westley.
