Biography
Glacier Veins, a Portland, Oregon-based trio whose style they label "dream punk," fuse the dreamy, expansive guitar textures of classic shoegaze and indie rock with punk's raw emotional punch. The project began in 2015 when singer and guitarist Malia Endres, following the dissolution of her earlier band Red Season, initially pursued it alone. To broaden her sonic reach, Endres soon recruited guitarist Joshen Bonifacio, bassist Levi Lance, and drummer Jonah Lance. Their debut five-song EP, Clear Your Head, arrived in June 2016, earning early attention that brought festival slots at Treehouse Fest in Boise, Idaho, and the Portland stop of the Vans Warped Tour. By the next recording sessions, Endres had assembled a revised rhythm section featuring bassist Kyle Woodrow and drummer Tyler Groce. That configuration yielded the October 2017 five-song EP Dreamspace, whose track "Headspace Campout" emerged as a single.
