Youth Fountain

Youth Fountain serves as the Vancouver-rooted emo and pop-punk vehicle for guitarist and vocalist Tyler Zanon, who channels raw personal turmoil into lyrics paired with driving punk hooks. The project first drew broader notice through its 2019 debut album Letters to Our Former Selves and followed up with the 2021 full-length Keepsakes & Reminders.

Zanon initially operated alone under the moniker Bedroom Talk beginning in 2012, spending several years developing material before crossing paths with Cody Muraro within the local Vancouver scene. The two formed a duo and began shaping Zanon's existing songs, issuing their first joint single "Grinding Teeth" in 2017. They adopted the Youth Fountain name the following year and issued a self-titled EP via Pure Noise Records. The label then coordinated multiple tours that featured Tim Creviston on bass and Andrew Miliking on drums alongside the core pair. Their debut album Letters to Our Former Selves arrived in 2019. After the subsequent Letter to Our Former Selves -- Acoustic EP, Muraro departed in mid-2020, leaving Zanon to continue alone. He resurfaced with Youth Fountain's second album Keepsakes & Reminders in 2021, then issued the concise live recording Live at Monarch the year after.
